Annual Parochial Church Meeting

The Annual Parochial Church Meeting will be held
at 7:30pm on Thursday, 23rd February 2012
in St Mary's Church, Cogges.

AGENDA

The meeting will begin with the meeting of parishioners:

There will then be the formal business of the APCM:

  1. Minutes of the 2011 APCM (enclosed PDF or text version)

  2. A report on the revision of the electoral roll (enclosed PDF or text version)

  3. The annual report and financial statements of the PCC for 2011 (enclosed PDF or text version)

  4. The Churchwardens' report on the fabric, ornaments and goods of St Mary's Church, Cogges (enclosed PDF or text version)

  5. A report on the proceedings of the Deanery Synod (enclosed PDF or text version)

  6. An election of two members of the laity to the Deanery Synod and eight members of the laity to the PCC
    (nomination form enclosed PDF or text version)
    There are two places on the Deanery Synod which were not filled at the 2011 APCM.
    The places on the PCC include three casual vacancies.

  7. The appointment of sidesmen (delegated to the Churchwardens by resolution of the 1999 APCM)

  8. The appointment of an independent financial examiner for 2012 (the PCC has nominated A J Carter & Co)

  9. Questions or comments on matters of Parochial interest

  10. Any other business

This will be followed by presentations and discussion:

The process for selecting a new vicar

One of the Churchwardens will give an outline of how the new vicar will be selected and how your views can be taken into account. There will be the opportunity to ask the Churchwardens or Area Dean any questions about the process.

Managing the Interregnum

There will be short presentations:

  • Introduction
  • Overview of Ministry Hubs
  • Discipleship Hub
  • Worship Hub
  • Prayer Support Hub
  • Administration & Communications Hub

followed by the opportunity to ask further questions.

The meeting will conclude with a time of worship and the commissioning of the new PCC.
