Cogges Youth
Our Vision
Discipleship: We want to equip, empower and release young people to be lifelong disciple-making followers of Jesus.
Community: We want to create a community of trust, vulnerability, encouragement and challenge, where everybody has unique gifts and personalities to bring to the group.
Growth: Whether you are exploring faith, growing in your relationship with God or up for investing in others, you are welcome at Cogges Youth and we want to help you grow, wherever you are at.
Groups and Programmes
Youth Group
We currently run two youth group gatherings that aim to help young people to encounter Jesus and learn how to flourish through a relationship with Him. In these groups we help young people discover who God says they are, wrestle with the big questions of life, learn how to pray, worship and be led by God and his Word.
Year 9-13 Youth meet on alternate Wednesday evenings at the Church Centre. Year 7-9 Youth meet 10.30-11.30am during our service at St Mary’s Cogges Church.
Mid Week Mix
An activities evening to play different games and have small group sessions to talk about faith and go through questions. A chance to invite friends and youth from the community, build friendships and introduce them to Jesus.
Mentoring
This is an opportunity for young people to connect one-to-one or in a small group with a member of our team to discuss things that are happening in their life, explore faith, to ask questions and to grow as a disciple. This time allows the mentor to support, encourage and challenge the young people in their walk with Jesus.
Other opportunities
We believe that young people grow and develop when they get out of their comfort zone. Throughout the year we offer youth residentials, mission trips and opportunities to gather with other young Christians.
Youth Service
A service for the Youth, led by the Youth. An opportunity to worship, hear the word and chill with friends
