It is our hope that through the groups and programmes we run and the relationships we build, the young people of Witney and beyond will come to know the life-giving love of Jesus, find community and friendship and explore faith in a safe and fun environment.
Friday Chill is a safe and relaxed place to kick off to the weekend, meet with friends, have fun and share life! Come and enjoy sports, snacks, crafts, games, Xbox, table tennis and much more. We really encourage young people to bring friends along too! (£1 entrance). Cogges Church Centre, 6.30-8pm alternate Fridays in Term Time.
Sunday Youth gather at Children’s Church at the Church Centre for registration at 11.15am and then head to The Blake School for a session normally made up of games, a short teaching and discussion, group activities and prayer. This is a chance for the young people to have fun, explore faith and discuss important things they face in their lives. We then return to the Church for 12.30pm, except the second Sunday of the month where we return to church at 12.05am for communion.
Youth Connect group meet on Sunday afternoons from 4pm, to build community and share life together in a relaxed, social setting. Typically, we discuss the previous weeks Evening Service, share food and spend quality time together until 6.15pm. We then walk to and attend the Evening Service together (6.30-8.30pm).
Mentoring is an opportunity for young people to connect one-to-one with a member of our team to discuss things that are happening in their life, to explore faith, to ask questions and to grow as a disciple. Mentor and mentee normally meet for about an hour a week to support, encourage and challenge our young people in their walk with Jesus. If your son or daughter would be interested in being mentored, or if you feel you could support a young person by becoming a mentor, please contact Ben Osman firstname.lastname@example.org.
